Wanted to thank you Jamie for the streaming update. Really glad to see the Grumpy’s Toy Vega coming back Hopefully it will do well enough to produce more drag cars.

Very excited to see the Discovery Enterprise in the larger scale and with the lighting kit. Like everyone else viewing I was stunned to see the Galileo model. I will be picking up more than one of those.

I especially want to thank you and Round 2 for the new Space: 1999 kits. I say this even though I am not a fan of the show. I have always loved those space craft designs. Already have the Eagle 2 and booster pack on pre-order. Look forward to more kits from this license.

Again, Thank You Jamie, Tom Lowe and Round 2. My favorite model company.

  2. Jim Long says:

I had to work so I didnโ€™t get to ask any questions. Anyone know how they are going to tackle no interior with the big front clear glass. Will there be a perspective decal to make it look like something is inside.

    • JamieH says:

No, we won’t go that far. We will include the windows as a clear part for anyone that wants to scratch build and interior of their own for now. But the windows in the filming miniature were painted gray like the hull. The windows are located so high up that were never used as a “windshield” anyway. They may have just been there to let daylight in…

  3. BatToys says:

That was pretty good because the video allowed us to see the model kits at different angles. Very happy to see the Galileo finally made accurately. Definitely will buy that. I’ve yet to see Discovery but I love that Enterprise model kit the way it lit up. The Impala was interesting and I hope later on you make a 1961 Chevy four-door Impala. And as always hope you one day reissue the 1966 Batmobile with improve parts. Good job Jamie!

  4. Richard martin says:

HI Jamie hope a 1/1000 k’tinga is on the way for the new star trek kits are u doing reissue kits

  5. Joshua says:

Jamie will the Galileo shuttle kit release feature the classic vintage box art?

    • JamieH says:

I’ve got an idea. We’ll see where it ends up, but it will not be an exact copy of the old AMT kit box art. We wouldn’t want anyone to get confused.

      • Joshua says:

since the classic Galileo is the only vintage kit yet to be re-released will that kit be released eventually for collectors and vintage enthusiasts perhaps in a tin like the first few re-issues?

        • JamieH says:

We never reissued that one for two reasons. 1) We always do what we can to improve the vintage kits in some way wherever possible. But with that kit, there was no end to the improvements we could make. So we figured it would be best to just create a new accurate one. 2) There are tons of the vintage kits floating around and most of them are inexpensive. We didn’t feel there would be enough demand at the price we would need to ask.

  6. Stephen Lawton says:

    Hello Jamie,

Thank you for providing a preview of upcoming kits — they look great!

I would imagine that you get similar questions, over and over. Such as “Will you be producing XXX in YYY scale? If so, when will it be available”.

Can you get ahead of these by providing a FAQ? Perhaps include a table of candidate kits & scales with the likelihood of future development or status of current development. Update this table on some sort of regular basis (annually, every 6 months, 3 months).

  7. Anonymous says:

Both MPC and Polar Lights have put out 1/25 scale NASCAR kits, so my question is will the ’70s dodge charger kit be reissued some time in the near future?? I already have the 1/16 scale kit.

  8. Joshua says:

the DS9 station and K-7 station came and went rather quickly will those be reissued again?

  9. spock62 says:

Thanks for doing this video, hope to see more in the future. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Galileo, I will definitely pick one up. The Discovery Enterprise looks great too. Don’t recall this being mentioned or asked about, are the Aztec decals will be included in the kit or available separately? Still have my fingers crossed for a 1/1000 Klingon K’tinga. Also, will the 1/72 Space 1999 line continue to be expanded?

    • JamieH says:

We will offer aztec decals as a separate set for the Discovery Enterprise. We plan to do more 1/72 Space:1999 in the future. What ship would you like to see next in that scale?

      • spock62 says:

Which ship? Glad you asked! The next one, IMHO, should be the Eagle with lab pod & booster engines, like the upcoming 1/48 release. After that, how about these choices:
        a) The Swift
        b) Re-entry glider that attaches to top of Eagle.
        c) Side booster accessories for Eagle.
Maybe b and c can be sold together as an accessory type of kit.
        Spacecraft/other vehicles:
        a) Laser tanks (there are 3 different ones).
        b) Ultra Probe ( would have to be 1/144 scale or smaller).
        c) Moon buggy in 1/72 w/figures.

      • Mark Alterio says:

In 1/72 scale the swift, Laser tank, Kaldorian ship,
        Voyager, and the Sidon fighters.

The Meta and Ultra probe are probably too big for 1/72. Same with Delmer Powys Plebus Gwent.

I’ll make my regular plea for a 1/1 scale commlock and stungun.

And Thanks for all the great stuff you have released and announced!

  10. J.O says:

Great stuff especially the lab eagle. Jamie on another point and I know the original models were released by Revell but with the upcoming Dune movie is there any chance you could get hold of the molds of the Sandcrawler, Ornithopter and sandworm from Dune?

The original models can still be found but they’re made of a really brittle plastic. I’d love to see more Dune stuff too maybe from the new film or even just from the Lynch movie (like the Spice Miner).

  11. Richard martin says:

HI Jamie like the enterprise in 1/1000 scale hope a 1/1000 klingon k’tinga is on the way you got more star trek kits coming a wonderfest

  12. Dan says:

thanks to you and round 2, dido to what everyone else said so far keep me building.

  13. George says:

Hi Jamie, quick question. There was talk about a Kronos One edition or parts kit (canโ€™t remember which) for the 1:350 kโ€™tinga a while back. Any info on this? Thank you.

  14. antonio verdelho says:

Hi Jamie, i’m delighted to find out there’s gonna be an eagle with the lab pod, and amazing additional boosters :-). i have now 4 (1/48) eagles and a diorama set, so be sure i’ll be ordering the new one too.
i have one question that i understand you may not answer in a clear way, but something like ” possible” or “totally impossible” would be acceptable by me ๐Ÿ™‚

    – will there ever be other ships from space 1999 ( the super swift for instance ) 1/48 ?
    – will there ever be other kits, in scale, like the moon tanks, or the glider, or vertical additional boosters, or other stuff ?

    … i guess it was two questions … ๐Ÿ™‚
thank for your splendid work ๐Ÿ™‚
    antonio

    • JamieH says:

Probably the only other kit we’ll do in 1/48 at some point will be the Hawk. I know a lot of people want that, but the tooling is really pricey due to the ship’s design. So no promises, but we’ll give it due consideration from time to time.
1/48 accessories are a possibility, but we need to see great results with our spine booster before we can seriously consider more of those.

      • antonio verdelho says:

        Thank you for your answer.
i would like very much that you could make other ships, but i do understand that there has to be a market for them.
well i’ll do my part with the spine booster, i’ll get 3 of them, one for the new eagle and 2 for some of the other ones i already have ๐Ÿ™‚

        thanks
        kind regards
        antonio

      • antonio verdelho says:

dear mr Jamie, about a year ago i said i’d buy 3 spine boosters. i did so. i now have 8 eagles, from the 3 variants. i also have a few metal boosters and a couple sets from de nuclear waste area. i’ll buy a stun gun and a comlock. today i read at the culttvman that there are hint’s of other items from space 1999… please make it another 1/48 ship, pleeeaasseeee ๐Ÿ™‚
thank you for making me happy ๐Ÿ™‚
        antonio

  15. Christopher Brame says:

I’m really intrigued by your mention of a station wagon kit of some kind. Without tipping your hand of course, can you tell us if this is a new tool, reissue, or a mod to an existing tool? Thanks!

  16. J.O says:

I’d like to see some of the larger guest ships from Space 1999 too. As well as the Battlecruiser which was in 3 episodes as far as I recall another ship I’d like to see is the SATAZIUS from the Last Enemy.

  17. J.O says:

Plus the DARIA from Mission of the Darians.

  18. Tye G says:

    Jamie

you mentioned before about including Kirk…Spock & Bones figures with the Galileo…which is GREAT.But since they will resin..which is cheap to produce.
Any chance of getting a few more figures..like Scotty ..LT Boma and Gaetano to make a Galileo diorama?

  19. Mike Paquette says:

I’m surprised the TOS Shuttle isn’t 1/12 scale.

Just happy to have it released in the first place! Thanks Polar Lights!
