Oh I missed the tease about a "Kirk fighting the Gorn" model kit. That would be a lot of fun, and I'm more of a hardware guy. Marketed in a box that resembles the Spock kit? Wow.

I would even go so far as to recommend considering having something like that done in alternate materials, like vinyl or resin as figures are sometimes tricky in styrene.

You can add another one to the tally of people who would prefer smaller kits. I'd love to build some of the bigger ones but the reality is I just have no place to put them. The one I probably would find a place for would be a 1/1000 Enterprise-D, but a new mold 1/2500 would be almost as good. And at that scale you could probably include the parts for an All Good Things conversion.

I didn't make it to WF either but I never heard that all the people in the above picture made it there themselves. I'm sure that GW was only there because he thought it was about female models. We all know he'd never be able to read instructions.

I'm more of a fan of the mid sized kits(roughly 18"-25"). I always liked the size of the AMT kits for this reason. Thought I did recently pick up a 1/350 refit because I'm such a big fan of that particular Enterprise.

I really hope you consider a 28" new movie Enterprise or even something between 18"-28". However I know that scale is an issue.

These are just my 2 cents!

I think it is pretty safe to say that most of our product offering will be our smaller, more manageable, more affordable kits. Sure there is a market for bigguns and I like the detail you can get in those but the smaller kits are more affordable from both toooling and retail cost standpoints.

We try to keep our prices competitive with everyone else's. It would be rare (knock on wood) for one of our kits to exceed $30 and most will be considerably lower than that.

Having spent time over on Hobbytalk, I know first hand how vocal several people are about wanting bigger kits. Everytime a new Sci-Fi subject is debated, there's always a chorus of "bigger, Bigger, BIGGER!" I just want to make sure you know that there are those of us out here that prefer your smaller kits. Sure, larger kits are great for detailing and lighting, but they are a bear to build and display if you don't have a lot of room to begin with. I passed on your 1/350 Refit in hopes that you would eventually do a 1/1000 version.

So, I like that most of your new Star Trek kits are, or soon will be, available in BOTH large and small scales. That's the easiest way to please everyone, but personally, I will ALWAYS choose the small version.

I did not make it to wounderfest, So here is my 2 cents.

What you guys are getting right, well the list is just too long! but I would have to say the top of the list is effort. Trying to get the kits correct and trying to find out what we want.

What you can be doing better is cost control. I know that seems counter to wanting the level of quality, and others may disagree, but when a kit starts getting north of $69 I have to think about it. The only 2 kits I can think of that would violate this rule would be the 350th scale TOS Enterprise or an accurate 2001 Moonbus.

As for kits I would LOVE to see an accurate 12-18 in Romulan BOP, 1/24 TOS shuttlecraft,
and a 1/350 D-7. Your Kirk/Gorn tease sounds great, and I'll repost my wish for a Bones/diagnostic bed.

Has Polar Lights considered a line of props from the new movie? An accurate Phaser,Communicator,Tricorder would be very welcome.

Thanks
