I just love this process of waiting for news
Regarding new model kits the whole thing kinda
Makes you feel like a kid again. The anticipation,
Speculation, rumors and such is well…..like a
Kid around December.

I am also pleased that Round 2 really dose get
Into the spirit of the anticipation process also,
I can only imagine how it must have felt when
Telling folks that RC2 was going to produce a
Museum quality 1/350 scale 1701.

One word perhaps….Santa

Well I all for that in a Christmas stocking, and speaking
Of Santa and wishful thinking I would hope that you
Folks at the big R2 will push out some more OOP
Retools, they really are practical all the way around on.

My suggestions for at least 2013 or 2014 would be;

Retooled Kits

Star Trek DS9 Runabout w/ interior ( really nice size but
Really need a interior to make it complete)
* molded in clear..perhaps
* battle damage markings and new set of decals.

Cardassian Galor Class Warship w/ additional
Parts to make either Galor or Keldon class ( really
Just the same ship with some extra equipment).
* colored clear parts
* battle damage decals.
* include a mini U.S.S. Defiant or Cardassian
Scout ship.

Star Trek TOS Galileo 7 shuttlecraft
* parts and hull upgrade.
* new set of decals.
* Spock and Kirk seated figuers
* original long box packaging.

New Tooling

Nebula class starship (TNG)
* Would go Great next to the AMT/Ertl 1701D
* Addtional parts to make either USS Phoenix
Or USS Sutherland Nebula types.
* clear colored parts.

Star Trek 2013 Movie U.S.S. Enterprise ( just joking…I think)?

1/350 Scale

U.S.S. Reliant ( in scale with the Polar Lights 1701A)
Klingon Bird of Prey ( also in scale with PL 1701A)

1/2500 Scale

U.S.S Reliant
Akira Class Federation starship
U.S.S. Defiant
Klingon Battle Cruiser ( Movie Version)

edge10- it usually takes 6-8 weeks to cut tools for an entire kit.

Any estimate on how long it would take to cut the tooling gor a big 1/350 scale kit?

I’m hoping a 1966 Batcopter and a 1/6 Batmobile.

Will a 350 test shot be given as a prize to 1701 club members?
That would make people wish they joined right away.

edge- It has been in the works for a while now and is finished. There were a few things we wanted to work out before sending it. Possibly today, maybe tomorrow, surely by the end of the month.
